DRIVING DIRECTIONS

The Alliant Energy Center is located on the southern edge of Madison, just off Hwy. 12 & 18 (Beltline), on John Nolen Dr. between Olin Ave. and Rimrock Rd. From the Beltline, the big white dome roof of the Coliseum building is easy to recognize.

From the north on I-90/94:
Where I-90 and I-94 split, stay on I-90 to Chicago and Janesville – not I-94 to Milwaukee. After four miles, take exit #142A onto Hwy. 12/18 (Beltline) west to Madison. After five miles, the white dome roof of the Coliseum building is visible on the right. Take the John Nolen Dr. exit.

From the south on I-90:
Exit #142A onto Hwy. 12/18; proceed as above.

From the east on I-94:
At Madison, take I-90 to Janesville and Chicago; then proceed as above.

From the west:

SIT & SEW AND HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS

Join us in one or more of our interactive, three-hour machine workshops. Here’s a great opportunity to spend a few hours learning, practicing and mastering a new technique while creating an exclusive Quilt Expo project. Sewing machines provided by sponsoring sewing machine companies. Most Workshops are $35 plus kit/pattern fee.

Register for one or more of our hands-on workshops including hand quilting, surface design, beading, and quilt design. No sewing machines needed. Each hands-on workshop is $30 plus kit/pattern fee.

Nancy Zieman And Mary Maluri present an appetizing menu of sewing projects, tips and ideas, and cook up some saucy alternatives for basic patterns. They’ll also share favorite recipes and are joined by a culinary television personality.

Commercial vendors may register according to the following booth rates: (Early registration is recommended. Booths, and floor positions sell out quickly on a first come, first served basis, generally by Oct. 30 following the previous year’s event.)

A standard booth includes a 10′ x 10′ area with one 8-ft. table, two chairs and a sign. The show is draped in gray. You may purchase additional equipment and electricity through the Alliant Energy Center website after June 1, 2012 at alliantenergycenter.com or by calling 608-267-3950. Vendor ingress is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5.

A maximum of four, 3-day passes (per each purchased 10 ft. x 10 ft. booth) is available for vendor staffing and mailed with the confirmation packet three weeks prior to the show. Additional staff passes may be purchased for $5 each.

Three-day parking passes may be purchased for $16.50 each until Sept. 1, 2012.

Nonprofit vendors may register for a $100 fee.

Young or old, everyone needs a place in life where they can use their creative voice. Amy shares her journey from frazzled mom to fulfilled quilter/designer/author/mom! There are many days where Amy is still frazzled, but she always has her own creative voice that she can share with her family. As Amy shares her stories, she shows quilts she’s created and tells how a new quilter can jump in and find their creative fulfillment even when life seems too busy.
